Shipping Policy

 

Returns

Bike Vault offers a simple two-week return policy on most items after receipt of merchandise.  You can return most new, unused items within 30-days of time of purchase for a refund of the original purchase price (minus shipping charges & restocking fee).  Returned items must be in the original box and/or packaging with all tags included.  No returns on parts that have been used or installed.  Return shipping costs are the purchaser’s responsibility.  Bike Vault will refund shipping costs of any merchandise sent in error. 

 

Recumbent bikes or trikes purchased from the Bike Vault may be returned within two (2) weeks of the delivery date. 

 

Restocking fee:

  • 10% Restocking fee on all standard items
  • 15% Restocking fee on wheelsets, child seats/trailers, oversized auto rack boxes, other oversized items
  • 15% Restocking fee on bicycles
  • 15% Restocking fee on recumbent bikes & trikes

 

Please note the following exceptions:

  • No returns on nutritional/food products.
  • No returns on custom-assembled products (a complete bike built of components you selected, a recumbent trike with non-stock parts, a wheelbuild, etc).
  • Used or damaged merchandise, unless item failed due to a manufacturers defect.  Bike Vault will facilitate all warranties provided by the individual manufacturers by making a claim on your behalf.  Contact us at sales@shopbikevault.com for more info.
  • Special Orders of items we do not regularly list on our website are not returnable.

 

*Returns apply to US residents in the contiguous 48 states.  Returns apply to stock configurations only – highly customized, electric assist or modified bikes and trikes are not returnable.  Accessories purchased with your bike/trike are returnable if unused and uninstalled. 

 

** Absolutely no returns on discounted, clearance, used bikes or trikes.

 

*** In an unlikely event that your merchandise arrives damaged, immediately notify us before returning the item so we may contact the shipper.  All parcels are insured and the shipper’s policy is to send a representative to your home to inspect the damage and packaging.  Remember to keep your original packaging.
